The story of Magana’s Development Services began in 2004, when my father first entered the construction industry with nothing more than a truck, a few tools, and an unshakable work ethic. As a first-generation tradesman, he built his reputation from the ground up—literally. From framing homes and pouring foundations to roofing and finish work, he learned every aspect of construction the hands-on way. Word of mouth quickly spread, and his reputation for honest work and reliable results grew within the Bay Area community.

Growing up, I watched my father work tirelessly—on rooftops under the sun, in crawl spaces, on ladders, always putting quality first. He didn’t just teach me how to build—he taught me how to lead with integrity. After years of learning the craft under his wing, I took the leap and became a licensed general contractor, officially launching Magana’s Development Services as a second-generation business rooted in the same values my father started with.

Today, we continue to grow—expanding our services, updating our methods, and incorporating new technologies and sustainable practices into our builds. But we’ve never lost sight of where we came from. My father still works hands-on with our crews, lending his experience and unmatched eye for detail to every job. Together, we bring a multi-generational perspective to construction: honoring timeless techniques while pushing boundaries with modern innovation.
